He was a devoted father despite the fact that having 2 girls did not prove to be much help with farm labor, something he never held against us.Pud was a life long farmer, growing certified seed potatoes for decades. Daughter Cynthia was born in 1946 followed by Susan in 1950. They eventually moved to their farm on Main Street in Sherman, which would be their home for the next 68 years. On Novemhe married Nadine Tilly who would be his help mate and constant companion until her passing. He attended the Longfellow School and graduated from Sherman High School, class of 1941. Many stories were told recounting those days. ![]() ![]() Dad was born Septemto Burleigh and Mattie (McQuarrie) O’Roak in Sherman.Growing up on a working farm with six active siblings gave rise to a young life full of hard work and high jinx. Clair Atwood O'Roak SHERMAN-Clair “Pud” Atwood O’Roak, 93, Januour father “Pud” left this life to join his wife of 73 years, Nadine, who predeceased him in 2015.
